The most efficient way to refill a medication is to contact your pharmacy, which will dispense the medication as long as refills remain on the current prescription. If there are no refills left on the current prescription, the pharmacy will notify your doctor’s office to request a new prescription. We require at least 3 clinic business days to process refill requests. We cannot guaranteed that Alpine Apothecary has all the medications that we prescribe in stock. We are happy to work with any pharmacy of your choice.
We are not a laboratory, but we do provide the service of lab draws for our established patients. Labs can be scheduled on Wednesday or Thursday. We cannot accommodate walk-in patients for labs so please call ahead to schedule an appointment. We are only able to allow this service for our established patients. We also work with Quest Labs in Anchorage for patients who are unable to schedule during our times or who find it more convenient to do labs in town.
We offer all required pediatric vaccines as well as most adult vaccines. Please call the Clinic for further information about this service.
We offer flu shots at the Clinic. Depending on your insurance, there may be a cost to you. Please check with the Front Desk to understand any payment that may be required at the time of your appointment. We will try to accommodate walk-ins for flu shots, but if we are busy we will ask that you schedule an appointment or return later. We are unable to provide flu shots to patients under the age of 7 who are not established patients at the Girdwood Clinic. Those pediatric patients will need to see their primary care provider for their flu shots. Check our Calendar of Events for any schedule Flu Shot Clinics that may be offered.
