We have on-going job openings for Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses (will consider applicants seeking either full or part-time employment for the RN position). Must be available to work Monday-Friday. Competitive Pay and Benefits.
Medical Assistant works under the direction of a qualified nurse and/or licensed mid-level providers. Provides direct support to medical provider, clinic staff and clients of the clinic. Participates in providing patient care under the guidelines of training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Current BLS/CPR required, can be acquired during employment probationary period.
Preferred qualifications: Experience working in a medical setting. NCMA certification.
Registered Nurse functions as an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team at GHCI. In this role the RN provides supervision and oversight of ancillary personnel and clinic programs. The RN also employs sound nursing judgement in direct patient care. Patient care responsibilities are focused on coordination of services, transitions of care, follow up for specialty referrals, support in self-care management and identification of relevant community resources. Duties and responsibilities include patient care (case management, clinic nurse) and supervisory (clinic programs and medical assistants).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: possess a current Alaska nursing license in good standing and possess current CPR/BLS, proficient with technology
Preferred qualifications: minimum of three years clinical experience in a primary care or hospital setting, .
