Registered Nurse: The RN functions as an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team at GHCI. In this role the RN provides supervision and oversight of ancillary personnel and clinic programs. The RN also employs sound nursing judgement in direct patient care. Patient care responsibilities are focused on coordination of services, transitions of care, follow up for specialty referrals, support in self-care management and identification of relevant community resources. Duties and responsibilities include patient care (case management, clinic nurse) and supervisory (clinic programs and medical assistants). Minimum qualifications: possess a current Alaska nursing license in good standing, possess current CPR, minimum of three years clinical experience in a clinical or hospital setting, proficient with technology. Front Desk Receptionist: This position greets patients, schedules appointments, and ensures excellent communication between the front desk and clinical staff. High degree of interaction with GHCI patients and is critical in our mission to deliver quality healthcare to the Girdwood community. High school graduate or equivalent. Experience in a medical setting preferred. Proficient with technology and ability to work in a busy, professional environment. New Clinic Building Update 02/22/21
The Girdwood Clinic building project continues to progress. To date the architectural program, concept design, schematic design and design development phases are behind us as we proceed into the final stage of the design process, construction documents. The construction documents are expected to be complete in 4-6 weeks and once that phase of the work is complete the project will to ready to advertise for construction. Construction is expected to begin this spring and continue through the summer into fall. The clinic will move into, and fully operate from, a completed Phase One building this fall. Immediately following the transition into the Phase One building the old clinic will be removed to make room for Phase Two clinic buildout. Phase Two work is expected to be complete in the spring of 2022.
